4-27-26   THOUGHTS

Throughout the history of God’s people, periods of sinful nothingness have given way to quietness and trust.  Our individual lives sometimes mirror that process.  Here, the Spirit  of God makes that change.  The people, again,  began to abide in a “a peaceful habitation.”

Isa 32:13-18    for the soil of my people growing up in thorns and briers, yes, for all the joyous houses in the exultant city.  14  For the palace is forsaken, the populous city deserted; the hill and the watchtower will become dens forever, a joy of wild donkeys, a pasture of flocks; 15
until the Spirit is poured upon us from on high, and the wilderness becomes a fruitful field,   and the fruitful field is deemed a forest. 16  Then justice will dwell in the wilderness, and righteousness abide in the fruitful field. 17  And the effect of righteousness will be peace, and the result of righteousness, quietness and trust forever.  18  My people will abide in a peaceful habitation, in secure dwellings, and in quiet resting places.
Ps 56:9b
This I know, that God is for me.

Our Prayer:
O Lord, may Your Spirit influence our lives for good and peace.  All that we see and hear and believe cries out that You are for us!  May we joyfully yield to Your WAY as we live in eternity’s direction.  O God, accept our love and praise and thanksgiving for all the blessings that shower  us.  We pray in the name of our Lord and Savior,   amen.
